_{She blinked, slightly startled by the egg's warmth. As the shadow lifted from the egg, she realized that it had been even more beautiful than she had initially assumed. Emy traced the abstract swirls on the egg's shell, trying to be gentle as to not break it. She wondered how thin the shell was, and questioned its brittleness. She decided not to find out the brittleness and thinness of the egg, as that would probably break it. She'd just wait until it hatched. Then she wondered if it even would hatch.
